Founded in 1947 in Scotland, GMI designs, manufactures, and markets a wide range of accurate, reliable and robust portable and fixed gas detectors to meet the high demands of a diverse customer base in industries where safety is critical.

GMI's range of portable flammable and toxic gas detectors and fixed systems meet different challenges of oil and gas, chemical, gas distribution, marine, water and sewerage, construction, telecommunications, electricity, steel, defense, and brewing markets.

With over half a century of experience in gas detection expertise, GMI is known as a manufacturer of the highest quality. The maintenance and calibration of gas detection equipment is of major importance to all those involved in the safety business. Therefore, in coordination with Alpha Gas and with GMI technicians, a calibration lab is under establishment to offer technical and calibration services to our customers.
